DESCRIPTION:I am pleased to announce Reading With Rotarians\, our 2026-2027
  District Grant project.  In the past\, most of our grants have fallen in
 to the community economic development area of focus so this year's grant i
 s special in that we are doing only our second grant that falls under the 
 basic education and literacy area of focus.  (The first grant was The Bra
 in Game books for the hospital.)  This grant is especially meaningful to 
 Decorah Public Library as funds are limited for the purchase of new materi
 als in the children's section.  Our grant is increasing their annual budg
 et by 50%! While the books being purchased through our club's matching gra
 nt dollars have not yet been delivered to Decorah Public Library\, we have
  an opportunity to start reading to kids early.  There will be several ot
 her reading opportunities in the coming months as well as a meeting to put
  the "donated by" labels in the books purchased by our club.
