Iowa Workforce Issues and Solutions

Dr. Ron Cox is the Director of the Iowa State University's Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS), part of the College of Engineering and the Office of Economic Development and Industry Relations. CIRAS was created in 1963 to improve the quality of life in Iowa by helping businesses and their communities prosper and grow. Over the past five years, CIRAS and its partners have helped more than 4,100 businesses in every Iowa county, creating an economic impact estimated at more than $3 billion.

Dr. Cox will be speaking to us on workforce issues in Iowa based on research he has completed over the past few years. He will present historical issues affecting the Iowa workforce and ideas for solutions.
