Community Engagement at Helping Services

DRC After Hours Sponsor: Brecka Putnam

Our club is excited to welcome Ben Krouse-Gagne, the Director of Community Engagement at Helping Services for Youth and Families, to this week’s Rotary After Hours meeting. He is responsible for fundraising, communications, and community partnerships. Helping Services’ major fundraising event is Holiday Lights. Holiday Lights is entering its 18th season and sees over 6,000 visitors each year. It takes over 400 volunteers to make this event run smoothly.

Founded in 1973, Helping Services provides children, teens, and adults with the skills and knowledge to bring about positive changes in their lives and in their community. Their programs include domestic abuse resources, family education and support, substance and drug abuse prevention, and youth mentoring.
