The Importance of Estate Planning

Erick Kephart is a Trust Officer and Vice President at Decorah Bank and Trust. After growing up in Decorah, attending Loras College in Dubuque, and living and working in Dubuque for 15 years after college graduation, he is excited to be back home in Decorah and able to use his experiences in service to the community. His career has ranged from working in the family business, to retirement plan services, individual wealth management, financial planning, and estate planning.

Erick has experienced first-hand the tremendous value a proper estate plan provides. He believes everyone should have an estate plan, regardless of income, net worth, family status, or property ownership. If you don’t put together a plan, the State will decide for you. He will be discussing the key steps everyone should know when putting together a estate plan that can help achieve each person's legacy goals.
