John Dingley
Food Production Practices as Positive Mitigators of Global Climate Change

DRC Sponsor: Shannon Duncan

Noted author, storyteller, singer, and raconteur extraordinaire John Dingley will join our club to discuss the ways in which genetic modification and ongoing advances in food production practices can reduce carbon dioxide emissions and help mitigate the impacts of global climate change.

He has been called a Renaissance Man due to a variety of notable talents. In addition to his interest in urban agriculture, sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and teaching urban youth about efficient use of gardening and agricultural hand tools, Mr. Dingley is an animal scientist. His love of nature has involved him in at least one major, local role for wildlife reintroduction—he serves on the Board of Directors for the Raptor Resource Project. He is also a master glass cutter, engraver, and an accomplished stonemason.

Mr. Dingley’s love of theater has led to performances in a variety of roles, both in his native Wales and around the Midwest. He has occasionally been discovered performing his one-man show, “John Dingley and the Biggest Pack of Lies You Ever Heard.”
