Future Business Leaders of America
DRC Sponsor: Mike Bollinger
Oliver Bollinger is a Decorah High School (DHS) senior, son of fellow Rotarian Mike Bollinger, and active in the DHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter. Oliver will be sharing his insights into the local FBLA chapter, which was newly formed during the 2024-2025 school year. The local DHS FBLA operates under the leadership of adviser and business teacher Alyssa Marso.
From March 30 through April 1 of this year, 23 DHS FBLA state qualifiers attended and competed at the Iowa FBLA State Leadership Conference hosted at the Cedar Rapids Convention Complex. The conference included competitive events, seminars, workshops, and many networking opportunities. The Decorah students’ hard work and preparation paid off as the team came home with ten national qualifiers and five state champions.
FBLA is the largest business career and technical student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps more than 230,000 members in middle school, high school, and college prepare for careers in business. FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
